Divorce Counsel Match

Terms of use

Last updated August 31, 2026

Divorce Counsel Match is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, determine whether you have a claim, recommend or endorse a lawyer, represent you, or monitor court deadlines.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of Divorce Counsel Match. By using the website or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and use the service only for yourself or with lawful authority to act for another person.

2. Matching service

We use general information you provide to look for one participating family-law firm that may fit your location, matter type, timing, and requested support. A firm may pay us for advertising or an introduction. A potential match is not a recommendation, endorsement, ranking, certification, or judgment about a lawyer's quality.

3. No attorney-client relationship or privilege

Using the site, submitting a request, receiving a response, or communicating with Divorce Counsel Match does not create an attorney-client relationship. Information sent to us is not protected by attorney-client privilege. A relationship with a lawyer begins only if you and that lawyer expressly agree, usually in a written engagement agreement. Do not send confidential documents or adverse-party names through this website.

4. Conflicts and firm decisions

A participating firm may need additional information to perform a conflict check. Sending a request does not prevent any lawyer from representing another person, including someone whose interests may be adverse to yours, unless professional rules or a later agreement provide otherwise. A firm decides independently whether to contact you or accept a matter.

5. No legal advice or deadline protection

Website content and matching questions are general marketing and educational information, not legal advice. Laws, procedures, filing requirements, and limitation periods vary. You are solely responsible for protecting your rights and meeting every court, agency, or legal deadline. Contact a court or qualified lawyer directly if time matters.

6. Safety and emergencies

The service is not monitored for emergencies. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service. For 24/7 domestic violence support in the United States, call 800-799-SAFE (7233), text START to 88788, or visit TheHotline.org.

7. Contact permission

When you affirmatively check the consent box and submit, you ask Divorce Counsel Match and one participating law firm matched to your request to contact you using the method you selected about legal services. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of hiring a lawyer. This request does not authorize artificial- or prerecorded-voice calls or automated marketing texts; a caller must obtain any additional consent required by law. You may revoke permission for future communications, including by replying STOP to texts when available.

8. Your information and conduct

You represent that your information is accurate, belongs to you, and may lawfully be used for this purpose. Do not submit another person's contact information without permission, use the service to harass someone, or provide unlawful content. You grant us a limited right to process and disclose the submission as described in the Privacy Policy and as needed to provide the service.

You may not impersonate another person; submit fake or automated requests; scrape, resell, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the service; bypass security; introduce malicious code; or violate law or another person's rights.

9. No guarantee

We do not guarantee that a firm will be available, contact you, accept your matter, charge a particular fee, take a particular action, or obtain any result. You are responsible for checking a lawyer's license, discipline history, experience, fees, engagement terms, and suitability before hiring.

10. Intellectual property and availability

The website, branding, text, graphics, software, and other content are owned by Divorce Counsel Match or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license for personal use of the matching service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service. Third-party sites are governed by their own terms and policies.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and service are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties, including accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Divorce Counsel Match will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data or profits, missed deadlines, or damages arising from a lawyer's acts, omissions, advice, representation, or fees. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Changes, severability, and entire agreement

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and date. Changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding use of the website.

14. Contact

Questions may be sent to support@divorcecounselmatch.com. Do not send case documents or confidential details by email.
